Kokopeli is a southwestern fertility God. His symbol has been found in cave paintings dating back more than 1,000 years. The legend says he traveled from village to village bringing seeds to plant for the harvest. Whenever he stopped at a village for the night, it's said he chose one lucky maiden to warm his bed. If a child was born from this union, the child was thought to have supernatural powers.
