Description
Cornflower blue is a soft, true medium blue, brighter than navy and warmer than sky, and it’s one of the most useful all-around blues in a beadwork palette. Each glass bead measures 9mm x 6mm x 3.5mm with a large hole that strings easily onto leather lace, sinew, hemp, or wire. Crow beads are replicas of the glass trade beads carried along frontier and river routes in the 1600s through the 1800s, when blues of every shade were among the most desired. The color remains a favorite for Native American regalia, powwow dance outfits, and traditional beadwork, and it carries beautifully into necklaces, earrings, beaded fringe, keychains, and hatbands.
