Description
Deep and earthy, this opaque dark red has a brick-toned richness that feels traditional and grounded next to black, white, and yellow. Each glass bead is 9mm x 6mm x 3.5mm with a large hole that threads readily onto leather lace, sinew, hemp, or wire. Crow beads are replicas of the glass trade beads carried along frontier and river routes in the 1600s through the 1800s, and darker reds have long been a mainstay of Native American regalia, powwow dance outfits, and traditional beadwork. The color adds depth to borders and patterns and works equally well in necklaces, earrings, beaded fringe, keychains, and hatbands.
