This medicine bag is made from butter soft gold deerskin leather. The pouch measures approximately 4″ x 5″ and is decorated with a a hand laced agate slice and a clear quartz crystal lucky talisman.

Poke bags are sometimes called Possible Bags, because regarding what could be put in them, “anything was possible.”

This talisman bag has unique hand curled fringes along the bottom, and is decorated with glass beads and brass beads. It also has a clear quartz crystal, which has the top dipped in liquid gold electroplating.

Each agate slice is unique and will have it’s own shape.

Including the neck strap and long, fancy fringes, the overall length of this bag is approximately 21 inches.

Deer is a symbol of gentleness and unconditional love.

Agate gets it’s name from the place where it was first located in ancient Sicily. The philosopher Theophrastus found an agate stone when walking along the shore of the river Achates. Agate meaning differs from civilization to civilization. Ancient Islamic cultures believed that agate could ward off the evil eye and tragedies. Similarly, Babylonians also believed that agate properties could be used to dispel evil energy.
