This smokable peace pipe is made with a deer antler bowl and a 15″” wood pipe stem. Overall, this peacepipe is about 16″ long, including the bowl.
The stem of this pipe is wrapped with deerskin leather, a fur wrap, and a seed bead wrap. It ha a leather strap for hanging.
Fringes on the front and back of the pipe have glass crow beads tipped with feathers.
Ceremonial peace pipes were used by a number of Native American cultures in their sacred ceremonies. Traditionally they are used to offer prayers in a religious ceremony, to make a ceremonial commitment, to show friendship, or to seal a peace covenant or treaty.
