This fashion ring has real abalone shell pieces inlaid into a silver finished stainless steel ring. Stainless steel is hypoallergenic and does not tarnish. The abalone shell is irridescent and tends to pick up the colors of whatever you are wearing. There are 8 to 10 inlays per ring, depending on the size of the ring. The inlays go around the entire band.
