Rooster Schlappen (body) feathers are thicker than saddles or hackle feathers                             (ranging 1/2-3/4inch(1.27cm-1.905cm) wide), and are more rounded at the tip. Schalappen feathers are soft flexible feathers, and fluffy near the quill.

Half Bronze Schlappen is naturally fluffy white at the end of the quill with a greenish iridescent color covering half or parts of the feathers, and white with reddish-brown coloration on the the other half or through the center of the feather.
