The tomahawk shown is representative of the one you will receive. This period correct tomahawk is made with a black metal tomahawk blade with a heart cutout. The tomahawk blade is about 5″” tall (12.7cm). Overall height is about 15″, including the feathers. It is about 13.25″” wide, including the blade and handle.

This trapper Native American style tomahawk is period correct for re-enactments.

The stem of this tomahawk is wrapped with natural tanned deerskin. It also has a section of colorful beadwork done in tiny seed beads, surrounded by two rabbit fur wraps and is also decorated with faux eagle feathers, chinchilla feathers, a faux black bear claw, horse hair, turquoise and black glass crow beads, and brass cones.

The rabbit totem is an instrument of magic and good luck. He brings success and a good attitude to all endeavors. Rabbit is also a symbol of reproduction and abundance. Horse hair represents stamina and courage. Eagle is a messenger to the Gods and the most sacred bird in most Native American cultures.
