These translucent glass crow beads are very similar to the kind and color of beads often used as trade beads in the 1600 to 1800s. The center holes are fairly uniform in this mix. They are comparable in size to the immitation plastic beads sold at craft stores under the trade name of pony beads. Transparent means they are a semi-transparent color that lets some light through, giving them a very beautiful color.

You are purchasing 1 kilo (2.2 pounds) of colbalt blue translucent beads that are strung in strands of approximately 100 beads each. A kilo contains approximately ten strands.
