This reproduction rattle is done in the inspired of a Blackfoot Ceremonial rattle. The head of the rattle is made from beautifully preseverd deer rawhide that has been scraped and stretched so thin that it is translucent. The head is accented with a decorative deerskin braid that is securely attached to the handle for durability.

The handle of the rattle has a section of glass #11 seed beeds in colbalt blue, light blue and red with a wrap of white rabbit fur above and below the beads. The rest of the handle is wrapped in deerskin.

There are also a number of buckskin streamers decorated with glass tile beads and copper cones that hold the faux eagle feathers. The top two smaller feathers are real duck feathers and the larger feathers on the bottom are turkey feathers that are dyed to resemble eagle feathers.

The entire rattle has been antiqued with a special treatment to give it the appearance of being old. This rattle is fully functional and has a crisp, clear tone. This rattle is approximately 4″ wide across the head by 16 inches long.

This is a one-of-a-kind piece that is individually hand crafted in the USA. The rattle you receive may have slight variations from the one pictured, since no two rattles are exactly the same, but the same inspired and combination of materials, beads, and feathers will be used.

This item can be shipped internationally, but additional shipping charges may apply. If additional postage is required, we will contact you after your order is placed. Feathers cannot be imported into New Zealand, but we can ship the rattle without feathers.
