This beautiful hand sewn buckskin bag is made with a combination of multiple layers of butter soft tanned deerskin dyed in contrasting colors. The flap closure is adorned with an unusual copper conch to give it an original flare, and the bottom of the buckskin bag is finished off with beautiful long fringe.

Fringe was originally added to possible bags because as the wearer walked, the fringes swayed, keeping biting insects at bay. Today it lends a free spirited touch to this personal accessory that is perfect for any occasion.

Use it as an elegant woman’s purse for a night on the town, or make it part of your outfit for your next mountain man rendezvoux. You could even use the smaller size for your personal medicine bag or tobacco bag.
